GUI for JkDefrag



JkDefrag is: "Free (released under the GNU General Public License) disk defragment and optimize utility for Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/X64. Completely automatic and very easy to use, fast, low overhead, with several optimization strategies, and can handle floppies and USB disks/sticks. Included are a Windows version, a commandline version (for scheduling by the task scheduler or for use from administrator scripts), a screensaver version, a DLL library (for use from programming languages), and versions for Windows X64."

Installation:
  • Just copy all files in the archiv, into the JkDefrag program directory..
Features:
  • Multilangual, you can build your own language file, too. Currently available:
    • dutch
    • dansk
    • englisch (built in, the english.lng is only for translations)
    • french
    • german
    • italiano
  • Multiple jobs.
  • Every single job can have different parameters
  • You can enable/disable every job
  • You can skip all jobs for x hours
  • Defragmenting is only started, if the PC don't run on battery power (option)
  • Automatic computation of the speed-parameter (depending on your free CPU load)
  • Temperature control for all drives, if the "smart.exe" is found in the JkDefrag programm directory.
  • Commandline-parameters, to start the GUI with a scheduler.
  • log files for every single job (option)
  • and one log file for JkDefrag and the GUI
  • Exits the program if all jobs are ready (option)
  • Shutdown the PC if all jobs are ready (option)
  • Hide JKDefrag (option)
  • Help for JkDefrag colors
  • Runs CCleaner before defragmenting (option) (if the exe is found in "%ProgramFiles%\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe")
  • Runs DiskView from the tools-menu (if the exe is found in "%ProgramFiles%\Disk\DiskView.exe"
  • Export all jobs as batch-file
  • Copy a job as commandline to the clipboard
  • On the first start, the program searches all available drives, and creates a job with standard-parameters for every drive.
  • You can change the background color of the GUI.
